Morrison began in Fremantle, Western Australia, when its first flagship store opened in 2002. The label is named after a Kelpie cross called Morrison, and its head office is still in Fremantle.
Creative director Kylie Radford made the label's name with the "Good Butt Pant", which became popular for its fit. Morrison's clothes are about relaxed shapes, careful detailing and natural fabrics, and many pieces are designed to be worn more than one way.
