Bec Cooper and Bridget Yorston met in 2000 while studying fashion and textiles at the University of Technology Sydney. They started Bec + Bridge after graduating and showed at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia in 2004. The name is what their friends called the pair.
The label is best known for its party dresses, alongside sharp separates, eveningwear and seasonal drops of swim and bridal. It is still designed and produced locally in Sydney.
