Designer Johnny Schembri founded By Johnny in 2009. It began as a stall at Sydney's Paddington Markets, run together with his sister Renee, and became known nationally after he placed third on the reality series Project Runway.
His designs rework traditional silhouettes, pairing clean lines with striking details and blocks of custom-dyed colour. The label says it works with manufacturers that hold high standards for quality and ethical practice.
